Terms & Conditions
LAWN LEGEND LTD.
(TERMS AND CONDITIONS ) last updated JAN2026
Lawn Legend Ltd. may also be referred to ( us, we , our ) in terms below
Between us and you the customer/client
FREQUENCY — Any proposed works will be carried out as stated on any recent quotation provided by us. Due to weather playing a big part in what we do, we can’t always advise exact dates in advance—only estimated due dates—but we shall always contact customers to advise if, due to weather or any other factors outside our control, this changes. We will also always contact you the day before any scheduled visit by email and confirm by text once the visit is completed.
All maintenance visits are carried out in route order, which means we may be unable to meet requests for changing days or re-visiting to carry out a visit missed due to no access, etc., as this would mean additional travelling time to and from and changing the rota for all clients on that due week.
However, please ensure you contact us at least three working days ahead of any estimated visit dates, and we will endeavour to accommodate any request.
ACCESS — Ensure that we have clear access to your garden at all times. Make sure that any gates are UNLOCKED and that any alleyways, garages, and any other access points are kept as clear as possible when we are due to carry out a visit. With regards to locked gates, we require either a key or access code. If it is the customer’s preference not to supply this, then any unlocked gates are done so at your own risk. Also be aware that the full cost of the visit will be charged if we attend and are unable to gain entry, or we may only carry out work on any accessible lawns.
LAWN — Please ensure that any children’s toys, play equipment, or any other objects are moved from your lawns ahead of any scheduled visit. If you are unable to move any equipment, can you let us know prior to your visit? If there is an excessive amount of objects on the lawns (including leaves), we may not be able to carry out your visit. Please also ensure that any garden lights or ornaments on the lawn are removed prior to any visit, and ensure there is no loose debris or trailing wires on the lawn or outskirts of the lawn, as we won’t be held liable for any such damage.
We are also not able to accept responsibility for any damage to (or cost involved with) any underground hazards, obstructions, or services not made known to us in writing on a site plan prior to work being carried out.
DOGS & CATS — Please ensure that lawns are cleared daily and make sure that there are no dog or cat faeces on the lawns prior to our arrival.
If we attend and notice dog or cat faeces on the lawns, we may not be able to carry out the visit, but you may still be charged for the visit.
If repeat offences are made, then we reserve the right to cancel services in full, as this poses a severe health risk to us when operating machinery or carrying out work.
SAFETY — When work is being carried out, please ensure you keep any children and pets inside or away from where work is being carried out, and also avoid approaching us when machinery is in use or treating lawns or any surfaces until such times as we have made your presence known, or if using machinery, it has stopped—for obvious health and safety reasons. When we are due to apply any treatment to your lawn or weed treatment to any hard surfaces, we will always advise you a day prior by email of any visit and again upon completion on the day; we shall send a text to advise of work completed and precautions/instructions to take, if any.
It is your responsibility to ensure you advise all other members/visitors of the household of any expected visit and to follow any precautions/instructions advised. We will not be held liable for any consequences arising from the above, or any precautions/instructions given prior to or on the day not being followed by the customer.
LAWN DEBRIS — We always check lawns prior to carrying out any machine work and take every care possible. However, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that lawns are clear of any debris such as stones/gravel or small objects, etc., which we may not be aware of and unable to see within the grass. If there are any small objects left within the lawn, there is a small chance that if our machines were to go over it, there is a small risk it could be cast up and may hit a window or vehicle or cause injury. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY LIABILITY for any damage or injury caused due to any items cast up from within the grass.
Please ensure that when other works are being carried out by any other person/s or in person, any areas are fully cleared and no debris is left on or within the lawn to avoid this. We shall at no time during a maintenance visit bring anything onto your lawn likely to be left behind which would cause any such damage.
LAUNDRY — Please try to avoid placing laundry out on any lines within the lawn on any day a visit is due to be carried out. We do not accept any responsibility if any clean laundry were to become soiled or marked when we are carrying out a visit, although every care is taken by us to avoid this.
WASTE — Please note that unless otherwise stated, all waste will be disposed into your garden waste bin. It shall be your responsibility to ensure the relevant permits are in place and also bins are placed out to be emptied on any due day. In the event of not being able to dispose of waste into your garden waste bin, then further charges will have to be added for waste to be commercially taken away to be disposed.
PAYMENTS — Our preferred method of payment is monthly Direct Debit; however, if you wish to pay as you go after each visit, then payment will be due the same day by bank transfer. In the event of a Direct Debit being returned unpaid or cancelled without contacting us first, services will cease with immediate effect, and any balance due to us will become immediately due. In the event of any payment being outstanding for 30 days or more, further services will be cancelled with immediate effect, and a late payment fee of £15 will be charged, along with a daily interest rate being applied at the current Bank of England interest rate.
PRICING — Pricing for any regular maintenance will be as stated on your recent quote, also based on the set frequency/amount of visits. If there should be a request or change to this frequency, or a missed visit for whatever reason other than the fault of the company, then the stated price may alter for any follow-up visit.
COSTS — Prices are reviewed annually at the end of each year and are usually expected to rise in line with inflation or business operational costs. These will be advised to you by email at least 30 days ahead of any new lawncare/gardening season commencing in March.
If you no longer wish to carry on with our services, please let us know by email to cancel services at least 72 hours in advance of your first visit.
CANCELLATION — We will continue to provide services to you on an ongoing basis, in line with services requested and frequency, until such time as cancelled by either us or you, the customer. You can cancel services at any time, giving at least 72 hours’ notice. If you are paying by Direct Debit, please do not cancel any mandate until you have contacted us, as there may be a balance due back to you or us, with payments being spread over the year.
ADDITIONAL WORK — All additional work, no matter how small, should be booked in advance by contacting us. We are unable to undertake any additional work requests on the day due to busy work schedules and also to ensure we keep our service as dependable and efficient to all clients. During peak times schedules can become fully booked 4 weeks in advance, so we always advise to book giving as much notice as possible.
COMPLAINTS — In the unlikely event you are unhappy with any aspect of the service provided, please either call or email us in the first instance to resolve any matter in hand.
IMAGES / RECORDINGS — Lawn Legend Ltd may take images or recordings of your property’s garden or lawn from any work we carry out to use either on promotional material, online presence (such as social media), or on our own website. Whilst we may state a general area, we will never identify you or disclose your address or any personal details. Images will be held by us and in compliance with GDPR guidelines. You can opt out of this at any time by contacting us.
