Lawn Aeration

Lawn Aeration

This is an optional addon service exclusive to regular grass cutting clients only.

Due to the volume of rain we get in Scotland, most of the lawns surface stays damp and compact; these are the conditions moss thrives on and
with a combination of heavy rain and foot traffic, this pushes the soil particles tight together causing compaction resulting in shallow and weak roots and poorer growth, as your grass wont flourish without essential nutrients, water and oxygen getting deep into the roots and allowing moisture and gases to also flow freely through the roots and surface.

Lawn aeration is usually best carried out in the spring or autumn and is the most important machine process you can give annually to solve the common problems mentioned before. we can offer three different types of aeration hollow tine, solid tine, and slit tine; don’t worry, we will advise you as to which would most benefit your lawn best.
